Gabon launches digital platforms for Merchant Navy to boost public service and transparency

The Agence Nationale des
Infrastructures Numériques et des Fréquences (ANINF) has officially launched
the MARIGEST Intranet and the institutional website of the Directorate General
of the Merchant Navy during a ceremony at the ANINF Tower.
The event was attended by the Minister of State, Minister of Transport and Merchant Marine in charge of Logistics, Ulrich Manfoumbi Manfoumbi, and the Minister of Digital Economy, Digitalization and Innovation, Mark-Alexandre Doumba.
Under the leadership of
Alberto Mounguengui Moudoki, ANINF provided technical support for the
digitalization of the Merchant Navy’s processes, reinforcing its expertise in
secure digital solutions and public administration modernization.
The new platforms are
expected to improve the quality of maritime public services, strengthen
administrative transparency, and facilitate interactions between the
administration, economic operators, and sector users.
The project aligns with
Gabon’s national digital transformation agenda, driven by President Brice
Clotaire Oligui Nguema, emphasizing the country’s commitment to digital
sovereignty and modernization of public administration.
