Côte d’Ivoire has increased
its budget for digital transformation to 83.275 billion CFA francs for 2026,
representing a 37 percent rise compared to the previous year.
The announcement was made
during the budget launch of the Ministry of Digital Transition and
Technological Innovation, presided over by Minister Djibril Ouattara.

The funding will support
five key priority areas, including expanding access to the internet, improving
state revenue mobilization through digital systems, promoting digital inclusion
and skills development, strengthening cybersecurity, and advancing technological
innovation.
As part of the rollout,
Letters of Commitment were issued to the ministry’s four budget programmes,
outlining responsibilities and implementation targets.

Minister Ouattara emphasized
the importance of discipline, transparency, and results-based management in
executing the budget, noting that the country’s digital transformation agenda
requires structured planning, sustained investment, and effective implementation
to deliver tangible benefits to citizens.
