SIL and Mauritius Telecom
have strengthened their strategic partnership through a working session held in
Ebene, Mauritius, aimed at advancing digital transformation and innovation
initiatives across the country and the wider African region.
The engagement follows the
signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations, under
which both parties have begun active collaboration on joint projects focused on
accelerating digital development.

During the session, experts
from both organisations exchanged perspectives on priority areas, aligned
strategic objectives, and identified opportunities for joint innovation that
can support public and private sector digitalisation in Mauritius.
According to the partners,
the collaboration is designed to deliver value-driven digital solutions for
citizens, government institutions, parastatal organisations, and private
enterprises, with a strong focus on improving service delivery and operational
efficiency.
The initiative also places
emphasis on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises locally, while
exploring opportunities to scale solutions across African markets to enhance
competitiveness and foster sustainable economic growth.

Both organisations noted
that the partnership builds on shared capabilities and expertise, with the aim
of delivering practical digital solutions that respond to evolving
technological and economic needs.
