The University of Ghana has
launched a new digital platform aimed at strengthening connections within its
global alumni community and enhancing engagement between graduates and the
institution.
The initiative, led by the
Institutional Advancement Directorate, culminated in the unveiling of the UGA
Global Alumni Network App, designed to facilitate lifelong connections,
professional networking, mentorship opportunities, and collaboration among alumni.

The platform also seeks to
mobilise support for university development projects by providing a structured
channel for alumni engagement and participation in institutional growth
initiatives.
At the launch event,
attended by alumni representatives and university officials, Vice-Chancellor
Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo described the application as a strategic tool for
reconnecting graduates and strengthening the university’s global alumni ecosystem.
She encouraged alumni to
register on the platform, update their profiles, reconnect with former
colleagues, and actively participate in initiatives aimed at building a
stronger and more connected University of Ghana alumni community.

The Institutional
Advancement Directorate indicated that the platform is open to all alumni
across different graduating cohorts and is intended to serve as a central hub
for engagement between the university and its graduates worldwide.
Alumni have been invited to
join the network through the registration portal provided by the university as
part of efforts to deepen institutional ties and expand opportunities for
collaboration.
