Kenya
has held discussions with the Slovak Republic aimed at deepening bilateral
cooperation in digital transformation, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure,
and emerging technologies.
The
Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, Hon.
William Kabogo Gitau, received the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Kenya,
H.E. Maroš Mitrík, for a courtesy call in Nairobi where the two sides explored
areas of mutual collaboration.
According
to the Ministry, the engagement focused on strengthening strategic partnerships
that support Kenya’s broader digital transformation agenda and the development
of a connected and globally competitive digital economy.
Hon.
Kabogo reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to expanding international cooperation in
technology and innovation, noting that such partnerships are key to advancing
inclusive development and sustainable economic growth.
Both
parties expressed readiness to advance discussions towards the signing of a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which is expected to formalise cooperation
and facilitate knowledge exchange in priority digital sectors.
