The
Ministry of National Education, Literacy and Technical Education has held
discussions with key private sector partners to accelerate the digital
transformation of the country’s education system.
The
Minister, N’Guessan Koffi, received Mr. Albert Kouamé, Managing Director of
Quantis Côte d’Ivoire, and Mr. Aquilino Atuna, President of the SERENEA Group,
during a working session focused on expanding digital infrastructure in schools
and training institutions.
The
talks centered on a national project aimed at strengthening the digitalization
of education through the deployment of Mobile Training Units (UMFs), the
provision of computer equipment to schools, and the rollout of high-speed
interconnection to improve access to digital learning resources.
According
to the Ministry, the initiative is designed to modernize the education system
by improving connectivity, expanding digital access and enhancing the quality
of teaching and learning across the country.
Officials
noted that the project is being implemented under the leadership of the
Ministry in charge of Digital Transition and Digitalization and is structured
around eight major components. Six of these components have already been
completed, with the next phase focused on finalizing the signing of the
technical and financial agreement to advance full implementation.
Minister
N’Guessan Koffi reaffirmed that the initiative aligns with the government’s
broader vision of building an inclusive, efficient and competitive education
system capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving digital economy.
