Morocco and Pakistan explore digital transformation and AI cooperation at Geneva Dialogue

Morocco and Pakistan have discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and technology innovation during a bilateral meeting held on the sidelines of the Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Governance in Geneva.

The meeting brought together Morocco’s Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, and Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

The discussions focused on expanding collaboration between the two countries in areas including artificial intelligence development, digital skills enhancement, technological innovation, cybersecurity and the modernisation of public services.

Both sides explored opportunities to build partnerships based on knowledge sharing, exchange of experiences and capacity development to support their respective digital transformation agendas.

The ministers highlighted the importance of promoting responsible and inclusive artificial intelligence that supports sustainable development and delivers public value.

The Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Governance brought together governments, international organisations and technology stakeholders in Geneva to discuss global approaches to responsible AI development and governance.
