Benin’s Agence des Systèmes
d’Information et du Numérique (ASIN) has launched a new edition of its
certification training programme for Chief Information Security Officers
(CISOs) and professionals preparing to take on information security leadership
roles.
The four-week programme,
which began on August 3, 2026, is aimed at strengthening cybersecurity
expertise as Benin faces growing cyber threats alongside an accelerating
digital transformation agenda.
The 2026 edition expands
participation beyond central government institutions to include public
administrations, local authorities, public and private sector organisations, as
well as professionals preparing for CISO responsibilities.
ASIN plans to train 25
professionals through the programme, equipping them with the technical and
managerial capabilities required to effectively oversee information security
within their organisations.
The training will also
prepare participants for internationally recognised cybersecurity
certifications, while promoting the adoption of good cybersecurity practices
and strengthening compliance with national and international information
security standards.
Beyond individual skills
development, ASIN said the initiative is intended to contribute to the creation
of a national network of digital security specialists who can support
organisations in identifying and managing emerging cyber risks.
The agency said the
programme forms part of its broader efforts to strengthen Benin’s national
cyber resilience and build a more secure and mature digital ecosystem.
