The Communications
Regulators’ Association of Southern Africa (CRASA) has held its first Finance,
Risk and Audit Committee (FRAC) meeting for the 2026/27 financial year in
Maseru, Lesotho, with discussions focused on financial oversight, risk
management, audit and institutional accountability.
The two-day meeting, held
from August 20 to 21, was hosted by the Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA)
and brought together members of the FRAC and the CRASA Secretariat in a hybrid
engagement.
The meeting forms part of
CRASA’s efforts to strengthen sound financial governance and promote effective
organisational management across its regional programmes.
Discussions during the
meeting provided an opportunity for committee members and the Secretariat to
review financial and audit matters, assess institutional risks and consider
measures to strengthen accountability within the regional regulatory association.
At the conclusion of the
meeting, CRASA expressed appreciation to members of the committee and the
Secretariat for their contributions and engagements.
The association also
commended the Lesotho Communications Authority for hosting the meeting and
supporting the implementation of CRASA’s regional programmes.
