Morocco and India have
agreed to enhance cooperation in digital transformation, artificial
intelligence, digital public infrastructure and the development of digital
skills and talent.
The agreement followed a
meeting in Rabat, between Morocco’s Minister Delegate to the Head of Government
in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Amal El Fallah
Seghrouchni, and India’s Minister of State for Trade and Industry and
Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Jitin Prasada.
The discussions focused on
prospects for developing practical cooperation between the two countries across
key areas of the digital economy, with particular attention to artificial
intelligence and digital technologies that can improve public service delivery.
As part of the engagement,
the two sides agreed to establish a joint commission to explore cooperation in
language technologies and their application in interactions between citizens
and public administration.
The proposed collaboration
will focus on solutions capable of supporting multiple languages, variants and
dialects, with the aim of facilitating access to administrative services and
improving communication between governments and citizens.
The meeting also explored
opportunities for cooperation around the JAZARI Institutes and their work in
artificial intelligence.
The latest discussions build
on engagements between the two officials in New Delhi in February 2026 on the
sidelines of the AI Impact Summit.
The two countries said the
renewed engagement reflects their shared interest in translating discussions on
digital transformation and artificial intelligence into concrete partnerships,
while strengthening digital capabilities and supporting innovation.
