The Rwanda ICT Chamber is participating in the Startup Summit 2026 in Florianópolis, Brazil, as part of efforts to strengthen Rwanda’s private technology ecosystem, expand international connections and support inclusive digital transformation.

The summit, taking place from August 26 to 28, has brought together more than 10,000 participants, over 200 speakers, investors from Brazil and other countries, leading companies and public-sector leaders focused on building and scaling startups.

Representing Rwanda ICT Chamber is its Chairman and CEO, Ernest Kainamura, alongside members including Spiderbit Ltd, NetFella and Pisconetwork Solutions Ltd. Esther Kunda, Director General for Innovation and Emerging Technologies at Rwanda’s Ministry of ICT and Innovation, is also participating in the summit.

The delegation is using the three-day event to engage with investors, businesses, policymakers and other decision-makers as Rwanda seeks to create stronger opportunities for its technology companies to access international markets, partnerships and investment.

According to the Rwanda ICT Chamber, the Startup Summit is placing particular emphasis on generating real business opportunities and connecting decision-makers rather than focusing solely on networking.
