Safaricom Ethiopia has
reaffirmed its commitment to expanding digital connectivity in Ethiopia’s
Northwest region following a meeting between its Chief Commercial Officer, Amit
Chandiramani, and the Mayor of Gondar, H.E. Chalachew Dagnew.
The meeting took place as
part of Safaricom Ethiopia’s ongoing relaunch programmes across the Northwest
region, covering major cities including Bahir Dar and Gondar.
During the engagement,
Chandiramani acknowledged the strong support and collaboration the company has
received from the Gondar City Administration in facilitating the rollout of
Safaricom Ethiopia’s network and services in the city.
The collaboration has played
an important role in supporting the company’s efforts to expand its
telecommunications infrastructure and improve access to digital services for
residents of Gondar.
Mayor Chalachew Dagnew
expressed the city administration’s appreciation for Safaricom Ethiopia’s
contribution to expanding digital infrastructure in Gondar and reaffirmed its
commitment to continued cooperation as the company increases its presence in the
area.
Safaricom Ethiopia said it
remains committed to working with local stakeholders to connect more people and
communities as it continues to expand its network and services across the
Northwest region.
