The Rwanda Utilities
Regulatory Authority (RURA) has shared its experience in information and
communication technology regulation with a delegation from Gabon as part of
efforts to promote knowledge exchange on digital transformation.
Charles Gahungu, Head of
RURA’s ICT Regulation Department, briefed the Gabonese delegation from the
Ministry of Interior, Security and Decentralization during a session at Rwanda
Cooperation.
The engagement focused on
RURA’s mandate and the role of effective ICT regulation in supporting Rwanda’s
digital transformation journey.
Gahungu provided insights
into the Authority’s regulatory responsibilities and how effective oversight of
the ICT sector can contribute to the development of a stronger digital
ecosystem.
The visit provided an
opportunity for the Gabonese delegation to gain practical perspectives on
Rwanda’s regulatory approach and consider lessons that could be relevant to
efforts to strengthen ICT governance and digital development in Gabon.
