STAR.VISION Aerospace and
Oman Lens LLC have announced the upcoming launch of two new advanced AI
satellites, the next milestone in their partnership, at IAC2026.
Both satellites will operate
in a 530 km Sun-Synchronous Orbit and are equipped with high-resolution
panchromatic and multispectral payloads co-developed under the companies' joint
marks, STAR.VISION Aerospace said.
The satellites will deliver
panchromatic resolution of 0.5 m at 530 km, an upgrade from 1.0 m.
Multispectral imaging will reach 2 m across the Blue, Green, Red and NIR bands,
with a swath width of at least 18 km per pass.
The new launches build on
OL-1, which made history as Oman's first AI satellite when it was launched in
November 2024. Over the past two years, the satellite has demonstrated
exceptional reliability, with over 5,000 hours of continuous in-orbit operations,
according to the company.
STAR.VISION Aerospace said
the collaboration represents far more than hardware deployment. "It is
about empowering end-to-end national space capabilities and driving long-term
technological autonomy," the company said.
"As the space sector
rapidly evolves, we believe the future belongs to those who actively shape and
own their space assets," it added.
