Meridian Port Services Ltd (MPS) has awarded the Information
Technology Works package for Phase II of the Tema Port Expansion Project to
APOTICA Company Limited, a renowned technological solutions provider in Ghana.
This according to MPS, this new move signifies its
commitment to enhancing its digital infrastructure and ensuring operational
efficiency and reliability.
Mr. Mohamed Samara, CEO of
MPS, expressed his enthusiasm for partnering with APOTICA, emphasising the
significance of this collaboration in advancing MPS’s digital capabilities. He
indicated that the decision to entrust APOTICA with this deliverable stemmed
from its reputation and the demonstrated technical capabilities in providing
the requisite cutting-edge IT solutions tailored to MPS’s specific needs.
The partnership between MPS and APOTICA marks a significant
milestone in MPS’s digital transformation journey. Leveraging APOTICA’s
expertise, MPS aims to enhance its competitive edge, streamline operations, and
deliver superior services to its customers.
Mr. Elom Kutsienyo, Director of Technology at APOTICA,

the project. This assurance reflects both companies’ dedication to delivering

The MPS Project Team oversaw the tendering process and will
oversee the project implementation. The Project Team is led by the Project
Manager, Mr. Abdoul-Rachid Alfa-Traore with the support of the Contracts
Manager, Mr. Godfred Carl Crentsil and Construction Manager Madam Imane Belhaj.
Led by the MPS Project Team, the scope of the project
includes the design, procurement, installation, and integration of
Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras and POE Network Access Switches. These
components will boost the existing security surveillance systems and ensure
seamless network connectivity between Phase I and Phase II of the Tema Port
Expansion Project.
Mr. Abdoul-Rachid Alfa-Traore reiterated the importance of
maintaining impeccable safety standards throughout the project, building upon
the outstanding safety record of Phase I. With a goal of zero accidents and
Lost Time to Injuries, safety remains a top priority for both MPS and its
partners.
