Kenya Space Agency and Deep Space Exploration Laboratory (DSEL) seeks collaboration to deepen space exploration

The Kenya Space Agency (KSA) has a delegation from the Deep Space Exploration Laboratory (DSEL) and the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA) led by Deputy Director General Hu Zhaobin.

Brigadier Kipkosgey, Acting Director of KSA, who received the delegation at the agency's headquarters, discussed avenues for partnership between the two organizations, offered an overview of KSA's activities and expressed openness to collaboration opportunities that could benefit both parties.



During the meeting, Mr. Hu Zhaobin shared insights on China’s advancements in deep space exploration, focusing on lunar explorations. He highlighted both completed lunar missions and exciting future projects undertaken by their team.



One of the highlights of the visit was discussions on the potential participation of Kenya in the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS)—an initiative led by DSEL.



Present were representatives from China Volant Industry Co. Ltd. Africa Business Alliance and the Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
