Cotonou, Benin - MTN Benin has marked this
year’s International Women Day (IWD 2022) #BreakTheBias with a talk show dubbed
‘Women Leadership Talk Show’.
Led by its Chief
Executive Officer, Uche Ofodile, who has always been at the forefront of promoting
women leadership in Corporate Africa, the MTN Benin talk show was used to encourage
and inspire women to aim for excellence in their endeavors.
“I am
not going to give you advice on how to behave in order not to be harassed
because it’s not up to you to avoid harassment. We have no tolerance for
harassment. Women need to feel safe when they come to work. Nobody should
harass anyone,” said Uche Ofodile.
The event which was streamed live on MTN Benin social media platforms also had the Managing Director and CEO of ASK Gras Savoye, Deborah Gnagne as a special guest of honor.
“There is no way you sacrifice your dreams & ambitions as a woman because you will regret it. You don’t have to oppose professional & family lives,” she emphasized.
The theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March,
222 (IWD 2022) is, “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”.
