Bayobab’s South African
offices played host to a high-level delegation from Africa50 Infrastructure
Investment Platform, led by CEO Alain Ebobissé, COO Tshepidi Moremong, and Chief
of Staff Fleur Tchibota. The visit aimed to strengthen the partnership between
MTN Group and Africa50, with a focus on the East2West project and exploring
additional collaboration opportunities to enhance digital connectivity across
Africa.
The meeting brought
together MTN Group President and CEO Ralph Mupita, Chief Commercial Officer
Selorm Adadevoh, and Bayobab CEO Frédéric Schepens to engage in productive
discussions with the Africa50 delegation. The parties shared their expertise
and insights, aligning their vision for a digitally connected Africa.
The East2West project, a
flagship initiative, aims to bridge the digital divide by developing critical
infrastructure and promoting digital inclusion. This partnership exemplifies
the power of collaboration in driving economic growth and social progress.
