The Ministry of
Innovation and Technology has successfully hosted the STRIDE Ethiopia 2024
Expo, a groundbreaking conference that brought together technical experts from
over 50 African countries to showcase the continent's innovation and technology
prowess. Supported by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the
four-day event aimed to strengthen communication signals between Africans and
highlight Ethiopia's commitment to building a digital economy.
The expo featured
cutting-edge online and e-commerce services, research works, innovations, and
technological advancements from public and private institutions, proving Ethiopia's
dedication to the innovation and technology sector. Participants praised the
country's efforts to engage the private sector, which has yielded positive
results in driving the digital economy forward.
Technical experts from
across Africa gathered in Addis Ababa to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and
explore opportunities for collaboration under the coordination of the ITU and
the Ministry of Innovation and Technology. The event provided a platform for
African countries to showcase their achievements, challenges, and future plans
in the innovation and technology sector.
The conference featured
keynote speeches, panel discussions, and exhibitions, covering topics such as
digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and e-commerce.
Participants also had the opportunity to engage in networking sessions,
fostering new partnerships and strengthening existing ones.
