The Ministry of Information, Communications and Digital Economy, led by Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo, has launched a constituency digital hub in Kajiado East, marking a significant milestone in the government's initiative to establish 1,450 digital hubs across the country. The launch was attended by Kajiado East MP Hon. Kakuta Maimai, Dr. Joselyn Nkonge, Principal of Kajiado East Technical and Vocational College, Julius Ole Ntaiya, representing the Chairman of the Board of Governors, and other government officials.

This initiative, under the leadership of H.E. President Dr. William Samoei Ruto, aims to provide digital skills training and job creation opportunities for the youth. In the past year alone, the program has successfully trained 390,968 youth and created 139,071 digital jobs, demonstrating its impact and potential for growth.

The digital hub in Kajiado East will serve as a hub for digital innovation, providing a platform for young people to acquire essential skills in the digital economy. This will enable them to compete effectively in the global job market and contribute to the country's economic growth.

The government's commitment to investing in digital infrastructure and youth empowerment is evident in this initiative. By establishing digital hubs in each ward, the government aims to bridge the digital divide and ensure that every young person has access to digital opportunities, regardless of their location.

The launch of the Kajiado East digital hub is a testament to the government's dedication to creating a digitally enabled economy and empowering the youth to drive innovation and growth. As the country continues to navigate the digital landscape, initiatives like this will play a crucial role in shaping its future.
