Founder and CEO of Flutterwave, has met with H.E. Dr. William Ruto, President
of Kenya, during his state visit to the US. The meeting aimed to reaffirm
Flutterwave's dedication to investing in Kenya's economic growth and
development.
Accompanied by
Oluwabankole Falade, Chief Regulatory and Public Policy Officer, the discussion
with President Ruto centred on the significance of innovation, collaboration,
and investment in driving economic progress in Kenya. As a primary market and
entry point into East Africa, Kenya holds immense strategic value for
Flutterwave.
According to Mr. Agboola
on his LinkedIn social media platform, Flutterwave takes pride in its Nairobi
office, home to some of its top-performing team members who have been
instrumental in expanding the company's presence in the region.
“We
will continue to invest in Kenya to support our aim to serve enterprises and as
well help diaspora Kenyans send money home with SendApp, our flagship
remittance product,” he said.
As Vice Chair of the
US-Africa Business Center of the US Chamber of Commerce and Founder and CEO of
a company operating in both Africa and the US, Agboola recognized the
significance of cross-border payments in the growing US-Kenya relations. He
emphasized that connecting Africa's payment systems to the world is incomplete
without Kenya, expressing excitement about the future prospects for payments in
