Nine innovative Kenyan
startups have been shortlisted to participate in the prestigious Spark
Accelerator Programme, a joint initiative by Safaricom PLC, M-PESA Africa, and
Sumitomo Corporation, implemented by iHub Nairobi.
The selected startups,
categorized into Embedded Finance, SME Productivity Tools, Future Fintech, and
Content, will benefit from access to markets, technology, product development
support, and capital to scale their commercially viable businesses.
The shortlisted startups
include:

- Chpter, FaidiHR, Churpy
Inc, and Twiva (SME Productivity Tools)
- VunaPay (Future
Fintech)
- HealthX Africa and
BlackRhino VR (Content)
According to Peter
Ndegwa, CEO of Safaricom, "The Spark
Accelerator program aims to drive meaningful innovation and societal change by
supporting tech-enabled startups. We are excited to work with visionary
founders who represent the promise of tomorrow and see the impact they will
create in their respective sectors."
