GITEX Global has
announced the launch of GITEX Nigeria, in partnership with the National
Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) of Nigeria as Strategic
Partner Sponsor. This development marks a major milestone in the expansion of
GITEX Global, the world's largest technology show, into Africa's largest single
digital economy.
The inaugural GITEX
Nigeria event will feature cutting-edge exhibitions and conferences, including
AI Everything, GITEX Future Finance, GITEX Health Tech/5.0, and North Star
Startups and Scaleups. This will provide a platform for stakeholders to explore
the vast opportunities in Nigeria's thriving tech ecosystem.
The Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) was signed by Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director General
of NITDA, and Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International, the organizer
of GITEX globally, in the presence of Dr. Tunji Alausa, Honorable Minister of
State for Health & Social Reform, Nigeria.
This partnership aims to
leverage GITEX's global expertise and NITDA's local knowledge to create the
largest in-market discovery-focused program in Nigeria. The event will bring
together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to explore the most
profound opportunities in Nigeria's tech landscape.
With Nigeria being the
most populous country in Africa, GITEX Nigeria is poised to be a game-changer
in the region's tech industry. The event will facilitate collaboration,
innovation, and growth, further solidifying Nigeria's position as a hub for
digital transformation in Africa.
