Telecommunications Ethiopia PLC has reinforced its commitment to safety by
launching a "Stop Work Authority" culture for high-risk workers at
its quarterly Partners Forum. The event brought together key partners to
discuss strategic priorities for safety, health, and well-being (SHW) in the
2024/2025 fiscal year.
The "Stop Work
Authority" initiative empowers employees to halt work immediately if they
identify any safety concerns or risks. This move demonstrates Safaricom Ethiopia's
unwavering focus on ensuring the well-being of its employees and partners.
Chief Technology and
Information Officer (CTIO), James Maitai who led the launch noted the importance
of safety in all Safaricom Ethiopia operations. "Our focus on safety is unwavering, and we are committed to
fostering a culture of vigilance and responsibility," said Maitai.
According to him by
prioritizing safety, Safaricom Ethiopia aims to create a work environment where
everyone feels valued and protected hence the company's dedication to ensuring
"No One Gets Hurt" reinforces its commitment to ethical business
practices and social responsibility.
The Partners Forum and
