MTN Benin has launched a
special edition of its volunteer program, "25 Days of Y'ello Care,"
to commemorate its 25th anniversary. The program has been extended from 21 to
30 days, demonstrating the company's unwavering commitment to the Beninese
communities.
This year's initiative
focuses on the village of Vekki in the So Ava commune, with the flagship
project "AquaEd" aiming to construct a three-classroom module to
provide a conducive learning environment and digital skills for thousands of
students.
MTN Benin's CEO, Uche
Ofodile, stressed the company's passion for empowering young people to reach
their full potential. The initiative has garnered support from partners like
Huawei, bankboa benin, and others, showcasing the power of collaboration and
community engagement.
This year's campaign,
themed "Learning Today to Lead Tomorrow, Education in Rural and Remote
Communities," aims to address educational inequalities in underserved
areas. The initiative demonstrates MTN Benin's dedication to empowering
communities and bridging the gap in access to quality education.
"The
2024 campaign targets educational inequalities, reflecting our deep commitment
to empowering communities," said Uche Ofodile.
Through the "25 Days
of Y'ello Care" program, MTN Benin employees will volunteer their time and
skills to support educational projects in rural and remote communities. The
initiative promises to make a positive impact on the lives of beneficiaries,
fostering a brighter future for generations to come.
