MTN Group’s Chief
Technology Officer, Mazen Mroué has reiterated MTN’s mission to bridge the
digital divide in Africa, where 850 million people remain without internet
access. He stressed that digital inclusion is crucial for economic growth and
enhancing quality of life, aligning with the UN's Sustainable Development
Goals.
In a recent LinkedIn
post, Mroué expressed excitement about the potential of 5G and AI to transform
the way challenges are addressed and solutions are enabled. However, he
emphasized that achieving these outcomes requires strong partnerships between
the private and public sectors.
He called for
collaborative efforts to fully harness the potential of 5G and AI, ensuring
that the benefits of digital transformation reach every corner of society.
Mroué's post highlights MTN's commitment to driving digital inclusion and
leveraging technology to accelerate Africa's progress.
