The Chief
Executive Officer of MTN Nigeria, Karl Olutokun Toriola has disclosed that the new
MTN Nigeria's state-of-the-art data center, currently under construction, will
be the largest in West Africa upon its completion.
In a recent
visit to the construction site, Karl Olutokun Toriola, along with CFO Modupe
Kadri and CTO Mohammed Rufai, inspected the progress of this impressive
facility. The data center is set to house 1,500 racks, achieve the
highest-level certification with Tier 4 status, and feature a 7-degree
transmission capability, ensuring exceptional connectivity
The
development of this data center is a critical component of MTN Nigeria’s
Ambition 2025 strategy, which focuses on driving industry-leading connectivity
operations. This facility will significantly enhance MTN Nigeria’s capacity to
respond swiftly to market demands, support businesses, and drive economic
growth in Nigeria.
MTN
Nigeria’s dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles
is evident in the eco-friendly design of the data center. The facility will
utilize efficient cooling systems and a combination of traditional energy
sources, gas, and renewable energy, minimizing its environmental footprint
