The Global Satellite Operators Association (GSOA) has announced the
release of its latest White Paper, "New Satellite Technologies for
Transformative Connectivity", during the ITU event in Kampala, Uganda.
This comprehensive guide delves into the cutting-edge technologies and
advancements revolutionizing the satellite communications industry.
The White Paper highlights the versatility and cost-effectiveness of
satellite communications, made possible through innovations that render them
more adaptable and affordable. It also hints on the importance of seamless and
reliable connectivity, meeting the growing demand for dependable and resilient
communications. Furthermore, it notes the critical role satellite
communications play in bridging the digital divide, contributing to global
inclusivity, and helping achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
GSOA Director General, Isabelle Mauro, in her remark noted the
significance of satellite communication innovations in driving economic growth
and societal development. She emphasized the need for a flexible and
predictable framework that encourages innovation, collaboration, and
investment, while addressing the needs of citizens worldwide.
According to her, by leveraging industry expertise and increasing
dialogue with regulators, industry players can create innovative and agile
policy frameworks to deliver transformative connectivity globally, including in
unserved and underserved areas.
