The
Chief Executive Officer of MTN Benin, Uche Ofodile has paid a visit to the
Ministry of Secondary, Technical and Vocational Education. The
visit followed the successful closing ceremony of the 25 Days Y'ello Care
initiative, which saw MTN Benin implement various projects aimed at improving
education in rural and isolated communities through the Y'ello AquaEd project.
The project's theme, "Education for rural and isolated communities: Learn
today, lead tomorrow," aligns perfectly with the National Strategy for
Technical Education and Vocational Training currently being implemented by the
Ministry.
During
the meeting, Uche Ofodile and the Ministry officials discussed the progress
made so far and explored new opportunities for collaboration. One such
initiative is TITA Digital Skills, aimed at promoting digital inclusion in
Benin. The program seeks to equip students with the necessary digital skills to
thrive in today's fast-paced technological landscape.
The
meeting marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between MTN Benin and
the Ministry, paving the way for innovative projects that will greatly benefit
Benin's education system. By working together, MTN Benin and the Ministry aim
to enrich the educational offer and improve learning conditions for Beninese
children.
"MTN Benin is committed to delivering the benefits of a modern
and connected world to the people of Benin," said Uche Ofodile. "We believe that education is the key
to unlocking the potential of our youth, and we are dedicated to supporting the
Ministry in its efforts to enhance the education system."
