Vodacom KZN region and Gift of the Givers Foundation supports tornado-stricken Tongaat community

In the aftermath of the devastating tornado that
struck the town of Tongaat in northern KwaZulu-Natal, Vodacom KZN Region and
the Gift of the Givers Foundation have partnered to provide critical support to
the affected community.
The joint initiative has seen the distribution of 200
hampers containing essential items such as food parcels, blankets, and care
packs to those in need. This timely intervention aims to bring relief and
comfort to the families and individuals affected by the disaster.
The Managing Executive for Vodacom Kwa-Zulu Natal, Imran
Khan expressed the company's commitment to supporting the community in this
time of need. "We are dedicated to assisting the people of Tongaat in
rebuilding and restoring their community. We are also exploring ways to provide
connectivity solutions to ensure that learning continues for scholars while
schools are being rebuilt."
The tornado that struck Tongaat caused widespread
destruction, leaving many without homes or access to basic necessities.
