MTN
Ghana CEO, Stephen Blewett, paid a courtesy visit to the South African Minister
of Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Honourable Minister
Ronald Lamola, on the sidelines of the 45th Ordinary Session of the African
Union (AU) Executive Council in Accra, Ghana.
During
the visit, Minister Lamola congratulated MTN on its investments and commitment
to Ghana, acknowledging the company's significant contributions to the
country's socio-economic development. He encouraged MTN to continue investing
in Ghana and supporting the people through digital solutions and socio-economic
development programs.
Minister
Lamola also commended MTN on the work of the MTN Foundation and Y'ello Care
activities, which have made a positive impact on the lives of Ghanaians.
As
MTN celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, the company remains committed to
empowering Ghanaian youth, bridging the digital divide, and accelerating
sustainable development. Through its initiatives, MTN aims to instill hope and
optimism for the future.
This
courtesy visit indicates the strong partnership between MTN Ghana and the South
African government, as well as the company's dedication to making a positive
impact in Ghana and beyond.
