The
Queen mother of Ekrofo in the Central Region of Ghana, Nana Esi Ninsin, has
commended MTN Ghana for its initiative to train founders of small businesses in
the country. Speaking in an interview, she expressed her gratitude for the
training workshops organized by MTN Ghana as part of its SME Month
celebrations.
Nana
Esi Ninsin, who is also the 8th Nifa Hemaa of Ekumfi Traditional Area, noted
that such training programs are essential in equipping entrepreneurs,
especially women, with basic business practices that help them manage their
businesses effectively.
"We applaud you and appreciate what you are doing for us,
especially for women," she said. "The
training helps us to be abreast with the latest trends and skills needed to
succeed in business."
However,
the Queen mother pleaded with MTN Ghana to extend its training workshops to
other regions, including the Central Region, to enable more entrepreneurs to
benefit from the initiative.
"Don't let such training stay in Accra and the central
region," she said. "We
will be very happy if you bring those trainings to the other regions for us to
participate, share experiences, and learn more."
Nana
Esi Ninsin also expressed her surprise at the array of facilities and services
offered by MTN Ghana, beyond its data, bundle, and credit services. "I
didn't know you have all these facilities," she said. "Although
we give you some small loans that we are on our neck to pay."
