MTN Cameroon has hosted the first Steering Committee
meeting of the One Goal Alliance, a pioneering collaboration of Cameroonian
corporate citizens. The meeting, chaired by MTN Cameroon CEO Mitwa Kaemba
Ng'ambi, brought together esteemed representatives from various sectors, including
Harriet Muchu (MWDDB Cameroun), Jude Anele (UBA CAMEROON SA), Leonce Augou
(Chanas Assurances S.A.), Weiwen (Henry) (Huawei CEMAC), Olufemi Arosanyin (IHS
Towers Cameroon), Ness Ruben Essombey (Dangote Cement Cameroon), and special
guest Mrs. Aissata De, UNDP Resident Representative for Cameroon.
The committee approved proposals from the Work Group,
including the legal structure of the organization, projects to be undertaken
until December 2024, and implementation mechanisms. The initial focus areas
will be education, governance, and environment.
Launched on March 18, 2024, the One Goal Alliance is a
groundbreaking initiative that unites companies like Chanas Assurances, Dangote
Cement Cameroon, Huawei Cameroon, IHS Towers Cameroon, MTN Cameroon, MWDD
Cameroon, and UBA Cameroon. By pooling their social responsibility initiatives,
these corporate citizens aim to amplify their social impact and achieve common
objectives.
