Vodacom Lesotho hosts data protection and management workshop

Vodacom Lesotho has held a comprehensive workshop focused on data protection and management, bringing together industry stakeholders to discuss best practices, regulatory compliance, and effective strategies for safeguarding consumer rights.

The workshop, attended by representatives from the Lesotho Communications Authority, the Central Bank of Lesotho, and other industry players, aimed to foster conversations and knowledge sharing on data protection and management.

Acting Managing Executive for Regulatory and Public Policy at Vodacom Group, Mosa Thekiso reiterated the company's commitment to customer privacy, citing its impressive record of zero privacy fines and cybersecurity critical incidents in the last financial year.

Mr. Thekiso also highlighted the importance of workshops like this in ensuring the industry stays up-to-date with AI regulatory developments and trends, prioritizing consumer protection while driving innovation.
