Republic
Bank (Ghana) PLC has reaffirmed its commitment to quality education by
presenting a cutting-edge Smart Board to the University of Education, Winneba
(UEW). The donation is part of the bank's Corporate Social Responsibility
initiative, "Power to Make a Difference" (PMAD), and aligns with the
United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) - Quality Education.
The
75-inch Smart Board features advanced multi-touch functionality, wireless
connectivity, and digital tools, enabling enhanced engagement and simulations
for lecturers and students. During the presentation ceremony, Mr. Joseph L.
Ashong, General Manager for Commercial and Retail Banking, reiterated the
bank's dedication to supporting education and providing modern technology to
facilitate academic activities.
Prof.
Stephen Jobson Mitchual, Vice Chancellor of UEW, expressed gratitude for the
donation, stating that the Smart Board will revolutionize teaching and learning
at the institution. The presentation was attended by representatives from UEW
and Republic Bank, including Prof. Victor Antwi, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and Mr.
Pious Twum Barima, Southern Sector Manager.
