Kenya
Airways has embarked on a market visit to Eldoret, led by Rose Kiseli, GM Sales
East, Central, and Southern Africa, Martin Gitonga, Ag. GM, Digital, Brand and
Marketing, and Alphas Misiani, Sales Executive. The visit comes ahead of
Eldoret's conferment as a city, a move expected to boost economic growth and
development in the region.
During
their visit, the Kenya Airways team paid courtesy calls to key partners in
Eldoret, including the Governor and Deputy Governor of Uasin Gishu, the Vice
Chancellor of Moi University, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(KNCCI) - Eldoret Chapter, the Assembly Clerk- Uasin Gishu County, AMPATH, and
travel partners.
The
visit aimed to strengthen ties with stakeholders in Eldoret and explore
opportunities for growth and collaboration. Kenya Airways introduced flights to
and from Eldoret in March 2024, making it easier for passengers to travel to
and from the region. The airline is now offering a one-way fare of 6,900
to/from Eldoret, making it more accessible and affordable for travelers.
This
move is expected to boost tourism, trade, and investment in Eldoret,
contributing to the region's economic growth and development.
