Kenya's digital economy gets a boost with new Cabinet Secretary

Dr. Margaret Nyambura Ndung'u has taken the reins as the new Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy. Her appointment was warmly welcomed by top officials, including Principal Secretary Eng. John Kipchumba Tanui and Principal Secretary Prof. Edward Kisiang'ani, alongside various CEOs and department heads.

Dr. Margaret Nyambura Ndung'u, a renowned international digital policy and innovation expert was recently sworn in by President William Ruto as the new Cabinet Secretary for Kenya's Ministry of Information, Communications, and Digital Economy at State House Nairobi together with other new Cabinet Secretaries.


With over 25 years of experience in digital development, Dr. Ndung'u brings unparalleled expertise to her new role. Her accomplishments include authoring Kenya's national digital master plan and serving as a senior regulatory and governance expert at the Policy and Regulation Initiative for Digital Africa (PRIDA).
