The
landslide has had a profound impact on the community, particularly the most
vulnerable members of society. In response, MTN Uganda has pledged to support
the restoration efforts, recognizing that every contribution counts in easing
the pain and trauma caused by the disaster.
The
donation will go towards providing emergency shelter, food, and essential
supplies to those who have lost their homes and livelihoods. The contribution is
also intended to support the work of the Uganda Red Cross Society and the
Office of the Prime Minister of Uganda, who are leading the coordination
efforts.
CEO
Mulinge then stressed the importance of standing together in times of
adversity, saying, "We continue to stand with the Kiteezi community,
and trust that the efforts of us all pulling together for them will help them
overcome this season of adversity."
