The
African Union Development Agency-NEPAD has convened the 6th AMRH IMS TC
Workshop in Nairobi, bringing together over 40 ICT and Monitoring &
Evaluation experts from National Regulatory Authorities across Africa. The
productive discussions and collaborative efforts focused on advancing the Regulatory
Information Sharing Portal (RISP) in Africa.
During
the workshop, participants received hands-on training on RISP functionalities,
including user management, API setup for seamless information sharing, and
content uploading. The event also served as an opportunity to test and validate
the RISP system with a diverse group of users, ensuring its effectiveness and
efficiency.
Significant
progress was made towards the AU Model RIMS, aligning M&E indicators with
RISP performance metrics. This milestone paves the way for the digitalization
of regulatory information across Africa, promoting greater transparency,
accountability, and cooperation among regulatory authorities.
