The
Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has embarked on enhancing its climate data
analysis capabilities with a comprehensive training program for its staff. The
programm held at the National Banking College in Accra, focused on equipping
participants with advanced skills in data preparation, quality control, data
visualization, and data set merging.
The
training program was made possible through a collaborative effort between GMet,
the Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa (AICCRA), and the
International Research Institute for Water and Climate (IRI).
The
Acting Director-General of the agency, Dr. Eric Asuman expressed gratitude to
the partners for their instrumental role in supporting the agency's efforts to
enhance climate data analysis capabilities.
The
training program is part of AICCRA's broader project to enhance climate
resilience across Africa.
