Former Nigerian VP holds discussions with Kenyan President on Timbuktoo Initiative

Nigeria’s former Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has held discussions with President William Ruto of Kenya at the State Lodge in Eldoret, Kenya on the Timbuktoo initiative. The meeting aimed to explore the vast potential for creating green tech jobs on a large scale through synergies between various initiatives championed by President Ruto.

These initiatives include the Africa Green Industrialization Initiative, the Africa Green Investment Initiative, and the Africa Innovation Fund, Timbuktoo. The discussion coincided with the historic declaration of Eldoret as a city, known for producing many world-renowned track athletes.


Ms. Natalie Jabangwe, CEO of the Africa Innovation Fund, Timbuktoo, also joined the insightful discussion.

The Timbuktoo initiative, launched at COP28, aims to harness the potential of green technology to create jobs and promote sustainable growth in Africa.
