Microsoft South Africa hosts Minister Solly Malatsi to advance digital transformation

Microsoft South Africa has welcomed Minister Solly Malatsi and his team from the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies to their Johannesburg offices. Hellen Mabore Mogashoa, Corporate and Government Affairs Lead at Microsoft, received the Minister and his delegation.

Minister Malatsi, newly appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa, brings a fresh perspective to the department, stressing the importance of technology in contributing to South Africa's growth and investment. His leadership is crucial in steering the country's digital strategy.

During the meeting, Microsoft South Africa and Minister Malatsi's team discussed ways to harness technology to enhance digital infrastructure, develop digital skills, and foster innovation. Minister Malatsi emphasized the importance of providing universal service obligations to achieve digital transformation.
