The Ministry of
Innovation and Technology has engaged in a joint consultation with the
University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) to revive a
discontinued science scholarship program. This collaborative effort aims to
cultivate sufficient and qualified human resources in the realms of science,
technology, and innovation through short and long-term training and
cooperation.
Technology
Advisor to the Minister, Dr. Semenu Sukuse has firsthand experience with
UESTC's scholarship programs, having been a recipient of the China Electronics
Batre Science Scholarship Program.

scholarship program is expected to enhance cooperation between the ministry and
UESTC, leveraging the university's expertise in electronic science and
technology to drive socio-economic development. By facilitating knowledge
sharing and capacity building, this partnership will contribute to the growth
of a robust and sustainable science, technology, and innovation ecosystem.
UESTC has a
proven track record of offering prestigious scholarship programs, including the
Chinese Government Scholarship and the China Link Scholarship Program. These
initiatives have attracted talented individuals from around the world,
including Dr. Sukuse, and will continue to play a vital role in nurturing the
skills and expertise required to drive innovation and technological
advancement.
