The
President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye has met with the Chairman and CEO
of Orange Group, Christel Heydemann as the telecom giant reaffirmed its
commitment to supporting Senegal’s ambitious New Technological Deal. This
initiative, championed by the Head of State, aims to modernize public services
by leveraging cutting-edge digital solutions to create a more efficient, agile, and forward-thinking
administration.
During
the meeting, Ms. Heydemann outlined
Orange’s vision and capabilities in driving digital
transformation across France. As a leading telecommunications provider, Orange
plays a pivotal role in expanding
connectivity, enhancing digital inclusion, and accelerating technological
innovation—all of which align with the government’s strategy
for a tech-driven public sector.
The
New Technological Deal
is designed to equip Senegal with the digital infrastructure necessary to
improve public administration, optimize service delivery, and strengthen the
country's technological sovereignty. With its extensive expertise in fiber optics, 5G deployment, cloud computing,
cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, Orange is
well-positioned to contribute to this vision.
As Senegal
