The President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye has welcomed internationally renowned content creator and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Khaby Lame to the Presidential Palace. The meeting, which was attended by UNICEF’s country and regional directors, confirmed the shared commitment of both the Senegalese government and UNICEF to the rights, education, and well-being of children.

Khaby Lame, whose journey from social media sensation to global humanitarian advocate has inspired millions, expressed his deep commitment to championing children's rights and ensuring access to quality education for all.

President Faye, in his remarks, lauded Lame’s dedication to his homeland and the positive role he is playing in advocating for children’s welfare. He emphasized that investing in children’s development is crucial for the future of Senegal, pledging his government’s continued support in strengthening policies and initiatives that promote child protection, education, and overall well-being.

He reaffirmed Senegal’s unwavering dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive. The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to explore further initiatives that will enhance the impact of child-centered policies and programs in the country.
