A collaborative
initiative between Liquid Kenya, Christian Aid, and IBM has equipped 42
professionals from 17 organizations with advanced digital skills through a
specialized design-thinking workshop. The training program, leveraging IBM
SkillsBuild's platform, focused on developing human-centered technological
solutions aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Participants
acquired methodologies to create scalable digital interventions addressing
community challenges, with particular emphasis on environmental sustainability
and social impact. The curriculum blended technical competencies with
innovation frameworks to enhance local problem-solving capabilities.
Acting CEO of
Liquid Kenya, Neeraj Pradhan in his
address noted the program's role in bridging Africa's digital divide: "This
partnership demonstrates how cross-sector cooperation can accelerate inclusive
growth through capacity building." The initiative forms part of
Liquid's broader commitment to digital accessibility across underserved
regions.
The workshop
outcomes are expected to generate localized digital solutions with potential
for replication across similar markets.
