The Chief
Executive Officer of the Egyptian Space Agency, Prof. Dr. Sherif Sedky has hosted
high-level delegations from UAE's Space42 and Egypt's Triangle Group at the
agency's headquarters. The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in
cutting-edge space technologies, smart communications, and AI-powered
geospatial analytics.
The UAE
delegation, led by Space42 Chief Commercial Officer Sulaiman Al Ali, included
representatives from Yahsat and Bayanat – two leading providers of advanced
space solutions. They were joined by Triangle Group's Business Development
Director Hossam Jamal Al Shahawi, representing the 215-year-old Egyptian
conglomerate with diversified interests across key economic sectors.

Discussions
centered on knowledge transfer and joint initiatives that align with Egypt's
national development goals and its aspirations to become a regional hub for
space technology. Potential collaboration areas included satellite
communications, Earth observation systems, and AI-driven spatial data
applications for urban planning and resource management.
"This
engagement marks an important step in strengthening Egypt's position in the
global space economy," stated Prof.
Sedky. "By combining international expertise with local capabilities,
we can accelerate innovation in sectors critical to our nation's
progress."
The meeting
outcomes are expected to contribute to Egypt's growing space ecosystem, which
recently saw the successful launch of several indigenous satellites and the
establishment of specialized research facilities. Both UAE and Egyptian
companies expressed strong interest in converting the discussions into concrete
projects that would serve development priorities across Africa and the Middle
East.
