Algeria has partnered with DEO Electronique to launch the smart city “Ganzat”
in the upper province of Setif, marking a pioneering step in the gradual
rollout of 5G technology in the country.

The
pilot project leverages Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to enable
intelligent management of equipment and infrastructure, improve energy
efficiency, and enhance the quality of public services. By integrating these
technologies, the initiative aims to create a model for more connected,
efficient, and sustainable local communities.

The
Ganzat project represents a key milestone in Algeria’s digital transformation
strategy, demonstrating how 5G and IoT can be applied to urban planning and
public service delivery to support smarter, more resilient cities.
