UN Technology Bank holds high-level dialogue with Ambassadors in Ankara

The United Nations Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries has convened a high-level dialogue with ambassadors in Ankara, reinforcing international engagement on science, technology, and innovation for the world’s most vulnerable economies.

The session, facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, provided a platform for the Technology Bank to outline its mandate, operational priorities, and progress in supporting Least Developed Countries (LDCs). Discussions focused on strengthening national science, technology, and innovation ecosystems as a pathway to sustainable development and economic resilience.

Representatives highlighted the importance of partnerships and coordinated international support in addressing structural challenges faced by LDCs. The dialogue featured contributions from diplomatic representatives, with delegates from Tanzania and Burkina Faso reflecting on the practical value of the Technology Bank’s initiatives in advancing national development priorities.

Participants emphasized that sustained collaboration between governments, development partners, and multilateral institutions remains essential to scaling technology-driven solutions and enhancing innovation capacity across LDCs.

The meeting forms part of the Technology Bank’s broader efforts to deepen diplomatic engagement and mobilize global support for inclusive technological advancement.
