Vodacom Tanzania Plc has played
a prominent role at the closing of the e-Government Annual Conference (eGA)
2026, contributing to key discussions focused on the country’s digital
transformation agenda.
The third and final day of
the conference was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Hon. Ridhiwani Jakaya
Kikwete, Minister of the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good
Governance, marking the conclusion of deliberations centered on strengthening
digital governance and innovation.

Vodacom Tanzania featured
prominently in the final engagements, where company representatives shared
insights on emerging technologies and their practical applications. Ms. Yvone
John Bayona, Head of Sales for IoT and Digital Platforms, delivered a presentation
on the adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT), outlining real-world use cases
and demonstrating how connected technologies are driving measurable outcomes
across multiple sectors.
The discussions highlighted
the growing importance of IoT solutions in enhancing operational efficiency,
improving service delivery, and enabling data-driven decision-making within
both public and private sector institutions.
During a panel session, Mr.
Nguvu Kamando, Vodacom Business Director, emphasized the company’s continued
investment in technology-enabled solutions designed to simplify everyday
processes and support community development. He underscored Vodacom Tanzania’s
role in advancing digital innovation aligned with national priorities.
